Path to Enlightenment

Choose your path. Or it will be chosen for you.

What is my path? What is it, that I really want in my life.

This question occupies lots of our time. Many people don’t know their path. They can’t seem to put the finger on, what it is that they want. And many people do know what they want and know the path, but don’t know how to walk it. This goes for both their professional and their private life.

Life is about being happy. But in this time of age, it can be difficult to do it all.
What do we want from life, career, family etc. And how can we be career people, supporting our family and be great friends at the same time.

Lots of important roles, and it can be difficult to decide what to do and when.

And since the answer to the question is individual from person to person, I can’t give you one answer here and now.

But what I can do, is to post different articles on the subject. And browsing through the blog, might just give you the answer you need.

The emphasis of this blog lies in the spiritual way of being. Finding the inner energy, courage and peace, to pursue what we really want. Not letting doubts and expectations stand in our way.

Only one can walk your path, and that is you. And you owe it to your self to walk the path in the best way possible.

Much of my working material is based on some of the worlds greatest life coaches.

What I have found after studying their material for years is, that all these peoples knowledge, is build on Buddhism. For that reason, I have chosen to go deeper into Buddhism as well, to get the underlying basics.

Buddhism takes a very straightforward look at our human condition. Nothing is based on wishful thinking, but is based on the laws of the universe, and everything can be verified by our own observation of the way things are.

In this blog, I will write about different subjects:
Your path
Goals
Self love
Attitude
Obstacles
Forgiveness
State of mind
Releasing negative feelings
Spirituality & Science
Trying times, how to cope
You and your surroundings
Thoughts & Beliefs, Limiting or empowering
Etc.

In every subject, I will give you a link to some quotes. These quotes have been made into wallpapers, that you can use on your computer as small reminders on how to reach your inner peace and your hopes for life.

I hope you will find my blog interesting and perhaps even get inspired to go for your dreams.

  1. Excellent site, keep up the good work. I read a lot of blogs on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say I’m glad I found your blog. Thanks, 🙂

    A definite great read..

  2. Hey, I found your blog while searching on Google your post looks very interesting for me. I will add a backlink and bookmark your site. Keep up the good work!

  3. Hey, I really enjoy your blog. I have a blog too in a totally unrelated field, but I like to check in here on a regular basis, just to see what’s going on and it’s always interesting to say the least. It’s always entertaining what people have to say.

  4. Hello Gitte!

Very nice! I like your energy also!

I find the idea of really getting in touch with your spiritual self is the way for inner peace and to trully choose your path. We need, as western culture, to learn to go beyond the body, mind and emotions to see where we really stand on things.

I hope you have a great day, and maybe we can stay in touch!

    Blessings,

    Pablo

  5. Hi Pablo.

Thanks for your very nice message. It would be my pleasure to stay in touch.
It seems we have more or less the same thoughts on life, so I’m sure we would have a lot to share on this subject.

  6. Have you heard of Lazarus, he has some very interesting positions on this very subject. I am assisting a fellow here in Calgary canada who is a spiritual healer, teacher and counselor that coaches us to find our paths by connecting to the energies that dwell inside.

  8. Gaining spiritual enlightenment is the ultimate goal of life as a human being! Realizing we are a pure souls… the spirit within, is essence of spirituality. Spiritual enlightenment is reached via path of sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism… the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna about 3600 years ago! Spiritual enlightenment can never be gained via path of religion (path of rituals)!

  9. Every day I visit a new blog, and today I found your blog about spirituality. A very nice and informative blog.

  12. I would like to express my thanks to the writer just for bailing me out of this situation. As a result of exploring through the world-wide-web and meeting tricks which are not powerful, I figured my entire life was well over. Existing devoid of the answers to the problems you have sorted out as a result of your main blog post is a serious case, as well as the kind that might have in a negative way damaged my entire career if I had not encountered the website. Your own talents and kindness in taking care of every item was excellent. I am not sure what I would have done if I hadn’t come upon such a stuff like this. I’m able to at this moment relish my future. Thanks for your time so much for this skilled and result oriented guide. I will not be reluctant to suggest your web sites to any individual who would need recommendations on this subject.

  13. Although I am an atheist, today I would like to thank God (or whosoever there is) for hearing my wishes. • I’m Danish.
But in spirit I’m a world citizen. 🙂

The latest post. That’s a good question. I’m not really sure, where you can see latest, as it normally shows on the first page on WordPress. But since my first page is a static welcome page, I guess there no “latest posts” page.

You are welcome to browse around. And subscribe as well if you feel like it. Then you will get the latest posts to your inbox.

I must admit, that I’m not writing much these days. I “lost the connection” if you can call it that. Which means I can still write, but if it doesn’t come from a higher place, it’s just me writing, and not me being a tool for a higher level of consciousness. Hence it’s just another persons opinions you read here. I don’t want that to happen.

I want this blog to be 100% honest. So I only write when I have the link. And that’s not possible to always have.

Unfortunately. Cuz I’m never more in peace than when I’m linked. 🙂

It will come again. And then so will the blogs. 🙂

      • Well this was an honest answer. I am so impressed. I honestly can’t tell if I have the connection anymore. If its there it is slumbering. Sometimes I have thought it to be gone, then it have showed up again. I still now how to find it but it now takes some peace and quiet. It used to be there 24/7 no matter what. In that sense it is gone. But I don’t judge myself over this. Of course we long for seeing world as it is though. It is such a …its how it should be. How it is. Like fresh air.
Thank you for existing and today you gave me something, unclear what, but it feel perfect. Here , see, I pass it right back.
        🙂

      • Good. I’ve given up on trying to write when I’m not moved to. When I am, things flow. When I’m not, it’s pretty much impossible. Most people try to go against this current all the time. I’m glad you don’t.

  21. The term spiritual enlightenment is also sometimes associated with spiritual awareness and spiritual awakening. Do you differentiate the terms in your website? Or do you believe those terms might have same meaning for you? I just find so many people interpreting the words in different ways.

  22. If we are talking about life in broad terms, the answer is fairly obvious. The call of God is always for us to live with noble purpose, with love as our highest motivation. We are in the world to develop ourselves to our highest potential and to make the greatest possible contribution to the world. Anything, therefore, that contributes to our total well-being and to the well-being of others is clearly the will of God.
    Carina

  23. Our human life is precious. Happiness is inside yourself. It is not the causation of someone or something else. It is a realization within your mind. As a result your feelings follow. Remember what the Buddha taught regarding the middle way life that is filled with excessiveness or neglectfulness is not the path to enlightenment.

Throughout human history, the subject of Enlightenment has been written about, discussed, and imaged countless millions of times. Also, throughout human history the point of focus for Enlightenment is that an individual must seek the answers outside his or her capacity/ability to utilize reason and logic reasonable and logically.
The numerous and diverse methods other people have devised for an individual’s enlightenment come with some nuggets of universal truth, but also come with biases and misinterpretations which are much more likely to lead an individual into confusion than they are apt to lead to enlightenment. Besides, the diverse methods other people have devised for enlightenment come at a high cost in personal time and treasure.
The worldwide failure of focusing on others for answers is evident. One need only be immersed in a day or two of current worldwide news events. It is clear to all but the head-in-the-sanders that humankind has not perpetuated Paradise on Earth.
The insanity of applying the same paradigm over and over and yet having the same disappointing to disastrous results time and time again just does not seem to register with the worldwide population. En masse they lead quietly desperate lives scratching for survival, and hoping without real hope that ‘the next life’ will be better. Well, there is no ‘next life’. This life is the only life that you know is yours to live.
The methods other people have devised, when accepted by an individual, initially removes ½ of the power and authority an individual possesses to utilize reason and logic reasonably and logically, and always leaves a residual shadow of doubt as a consequence.
All that being said, it must be time for a paradigm shift. Over the millennia all the outside angles have been explored, leaving one avenue remaining.
To look inside for the answers appears to be the answer.
But then a question arises; How does an individual go about looking inside?
That issue and ideas regarding your comments in the next blogpost,

  25. Hi Gitte

I’d like to see you develop your article. Although Enlightenment is a fairly common word, few would claim to understand it even though there are plenty of scriptures which reference it. imho more important than a verbal teaching of Enlightenment is a transmission of Enlightenment. Dave Oshana has a very clear and effective transmission which gives direct glimpses of Enlightenment.

    Bright regards!
